There is nothing more magical than standing before a freshly decorated Christmas tree, lights glimmering, cup of hot cocoa in hand and family all around! So today, I thought I would share some fun ideas for decorating your tree!

Gone are the days, where the beloved Christmas tree must look a certain way and be done in the assigned Christmas colors – red and green. While some prefer to stick with this classic theme, feel free to branch out (pun intended) and create something entirely different! Here are some tips to creating a look that is unique and elegant!

 Choose a theme color and stick to it. Carry it through out the room and even into your gift wrappings to create a harmonious look.

More into a modern, minimalist look? Go for branches in a large container.

Short on space? Try a tabletop tree!

Create a tree that reflects your interests…like this garden lover tree, decorated with seed packets and produce themed ornaments!

Why not decorate your tree to suit where you live…like this sweet coastal themed tree, with cheery pastels, sailboats and starfish.

Or perhaps your home is a winter wonderland…celebrate the snow and trim your tree in icy whites, silver and gold! (I love how the presents are corralled in these galvanized tubs too!)

As you can see…the sky is the limit! So use your imagination, go out on a limb (ok, no more tree puns) and get the whole family involved. Have fun!
