Hi everyone! How was your weekend? Did you get out and enjoy some Spring like weather?

It was really fun celebrating the Springtime flowers last week and hopefully you’re inspired to get out and work in your garden!  But, if the rain (or snow) is still falling where you live, maybe you can curl up with a good book – about gardening!   I found this great quote and wanted to share it with you since we will be bringing you some gorgeous ideas for home libraries and decorating with books this week!

INSPIRED MONDAY: Flowers

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? I don’t know about where you live, but here in Portland, we have had a mix of rain and sun that has brought on fresh Springtime blooms. Bright spots on the landscape – vibrant yellows of the daffodil, purple tones from the sweet crocus and deep blues and pinks courtesy of the hyacinth! Color is coming back to our rainy city, so this week we celebrate the beauty of flowers! Their magnificence has inspired fabrics, paint colors, furniture design and entire rooms! Stay tuned as we give you tips on arranging the perfect Spring bouquet and even ideas on planting your own flower garden!

Hi everyone! Hope your weekend was just lovely. We had moments of glorious sunshine here in Portland and very mild temperatures! I loved it! Spring is just around the corner! As we watch flowers unfurl and trees blossom, I can’t help but find this time of year magical, don’t you?

Hi all! How was your weekend? Hope it was a good one!

It was fun exploring the home office last week! We deserve a beautiful place to do our work, don’t we? My office desk sure does get a workout, but I gotta say, the other “desk” in my home that gets plenty of attention is my vanity! A girl needs a gorgeous place to get ready and put on her face before stepping out into the world after all…

INSPIRED MONDAYS : Perfection

Hello there! Hope your weekend went well. A new week begins and I’m excited to get to work on my projects…but before I dig in, I wanted to share some thoughts on Perfection. Yes, the P word!

We often strive for the perfect life, the perfect body, the perfect relationships and of course, the perfect home! But let’s face it…perfection is overrated and rather unattainable.  Remember this, when decorating your own home. Even though we sometimes want our rooms to mirror those seen in glossy magazines, what we really desire is for our home to reflect us and all that we love…

INSPIRED MONDAYS : Creativity

Hello there. Hope your weekend was lovely.  It may be a holiday for some but I’m back at work and as promised, I am here to share some inspiration!

One of the most demanding and pleasurable aspects of being a designer is being creative! Our clients expect us to think outside the box, be inventive and ultimately share in the vision they have for their home – OR create one if they don’t have one! I love it! I am constantly challenged to be open and to go the extra mile to marry form and function.

But, my friends, I am here to tell you that YOU are creative too! I believe everyone is. Being creative doesn’t just mean you draw and paint. Being creative is about solving problems…with style! You can creatively organize your kitchen, rearrange your living room or hang your family photos! It’s all about just going for it and not being afraid of making a mistake.
